NEW DELHI, 19 Nov 19 (IANS) – The winter session of Parliament will be held from 7 to 29 December, the Office of the President announced on Saturday.
“The President has convened Parliament for Wednesday 7th December in New Delhi. Pending business urgency, the meeting is scheduled to end on Thursday, December 29,” read a memo issued by the Office of the President.
Unity Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Pralhad Joshi earlier tweeted: “The winter session of Parliament 2022 will start on 7 December and last till 29 December with 17 sessions spread over 23 days. With Amrit Kaal’s background, I look forward to the discussion on legislative matters and other matters during the session. I look forward to a constructive debate.”
The 258th session of the Rajya Sabha will consist of 17 sessions spread over 23 days.
The first day of the winter session may be postponed in memory of members who have died since the last session.
