The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has approved the reappointment of Amitabh Chaudley as CEO and CEO of Axis Bank, a large private financial institution, for a three-year term.
According to the bank’s request to the stock exchange supervisory authority, the three-year extension will take effect on January 1, 2022.
“Reserve Bank of India refers to a letter dated 14 October 2021 and appoints Amitab Chowdhri as managing director of the bank from 1 January 2022 to 31 December 2024 (including two days).” I have approved my reappointment as CEO,” the bank said in a statement.
The Board of Directors of Axis Bank has granted a three-year extension, subject to regulatory approval.
Axis Bank’s board of directors includes Rakesh Makhija, independent director and part-time chairman, Amitabh Chaudhry, executive director and CEO, SVishvanathan, independent director, Ketaki Bhagwati, independent director, Axis Bank website, said Stephen Pagliuka, non-executive director.
Prior to joining Axis Bank, Chaudhry was a PhD and CEO of Standard Life Insurance Company HDFC. Banker is also Head of Testing at Infosys Technologies Limited and MD and CEO of Infosys BPO.
On Thursday 14 October, Axis Bank shares settled on BSE at Rs 802 per share, an increase of 0.98%. Axis Bank opened trading on BSE in yesterday’s trading session at 796.35 rupees, with a high of 803.85 rupees during the day and a low of 788 rupees during the day. The stock exchange is closed today due to the Dushera festival.
