Redmi Note 11 Series Tipped to Launch in Global Markets With Snapdragon Chips

The Redmi Note 11 series is expected to launch worldwide with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon design and chip. The series, which includes the regular Redmi Note 11 as well as the Redmi Note 11 Pro and Redmi Note 11 Pro+, debuted in China last month with the MediaTek Dimensity SoC.

Features include a punch-hole design and 5G connectivity. The Redmi Note 11 Pro and Redmi Note 11 Pro+ series also offer features with a 120 Hz screen and up to 256 GB of internal storage.

Vietnamese news website The Pixel reports that the Redmi Note 11 series will be available in a completely different design and the MediaTek Dimensity SoC will contain a Qualcomm Snapdragon chip. The new phone is expected to hit the market in Vietnam in the first quarter of 2022 – January at the earliest.

The report also says that the Redmi Note 11 model available with Snapdragon SOC in global markets including Vietnam will also be released in China at a later date, but under a different name.

Although the reason for the switch to the Snapdragon SoC is still unclear, Tipster nicknamed @chunvn8888 on Twitter suggested that this could be due to some shortage of chips at the Xiaomi factory.

Tipsters previously speculated that the global version of the Redmi Note 11 series could come with the Snapdragon 778G Plus and the newly released Snapdragon 695 SoC.

Earlier this week, the Poco M4 Pro 5G was released as the Redmi Note 11. It was also rumored to be released in India as the Redmi Note 11T 5G. On the contrary, according to rumors, Redmi Note 11 Pro and Redmi Note 11 Pro + will enter the Indian market as Xiaomi 11i and Xiaomi 11i costs, respectively.

When introducing the Redmi Note 11 series in China, Xiaomi claimed that the Redmi Note series had sold 240 million units worldwide. The Redmi Note series crossed the 200 million mark in February.
