OnePlus Nord 2 Getting Updated With Power Consumption Optimisation

The OnePlus Nord 2 is now receiving the latest OxygenOS update. The update includes Android Security Fixes starting November 2021 with bug fixes and other minor system improvements. The update includes improvements such as optimizing performance compression.

The OnePlus Nord 2 launched on Android 11 and OxygenOS 11.3 in July this year. The phone has received later updates since then. In October, the Oxygen OS A.11 update brought a number of system changes, improved HDR effects, and optimized network stability for the OnePlus Nord 2.

According to a publication by the OnePlus community, the OnePlus Nord 2 phone in India received an update with firmware version DN2101_11_A.13. The European type DN2103_11_A.12, on the other hand, received the update. The OnePlus Nord 2 features user-shared screenshots from an updated community page that makes improvements to the low-power system and simplified rear controls for a better gaming experience.

The update contains Android security fixes starting November 2021, stability improvements, and regular fixes for issues. According to the screenshot, the change log mentions an optimized VoWifi and ViLTE experience as well as network-related improvements.

According to another screenshot, the European version of the phone will receive the Android security patch from October 2021 instead of last November with a list of changes.

OnePlus hasn’t officially announced the release of the latest security patch, but it is expected to contain general bug fixes and security-related improvements and gradually reach all eligible users in the release schedule.

Users can update their OnePlus Nord 2 smartphone while connected to a strong WiFi and while it is charging. As a rule, OnePlus updates are published in stages and are automatically transferred to all official smartphones. However, curious users can check for updates manually in Settings > System > System Update.
