Kuala Lumpur: Minister of Human Rights Datuk Seri M. Saravanan (PIX) said the government would further intensify efforts to improve the country’s young talent ecosystem and alumni market through various programs.
He said the programs were called the Prahtin Rakyat Economic Incentive Package (Prehtin), the National Plan for Economic Reform (Penjan), the Malaysian People’s Economic Assistance and Protection Package (Parmay), the Strategic and Economic People’s Program (Pemerkasa). and human well-being is realized through security. and the economic reform package (Restor).
He said the unemployment rate for youth aged 15 to 24 fell from 12.5% or 326,700 in the second quarter of 2020 to 11% or 283,100 in the same period this year.
“Dealing with unemployment, including for university graduates, the government has launched an apprenticeship program that provides job opportunities for university graduates by improving their skills and training.
“A total of 44,843 graduates have received internship opportunities through this program,” he said when closing his Thanksgiving application for a royal speech at the People’s Divan yesterday.
Besides the Ministry of Human Resources, 15 other ministries were also present at today’s closing session, including the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Transportation and Communication and Multimedia.
