Beazley names new head of open market 2021

Beazley has appointed Simon Wilson (pictured) as the new head of Open Market UK/RoW.

Wilson joined Beasley in mid-January and worked at the company’s headquarters in London. As an Open Market Manager, he leads and manages the Open Market. The UK / Baris team works with the real estate team and open market accounts to provide expert information on market issues. He is an experienced underwriter and has experience with prime and excess wealth D&F products.

Prior to joining Beazley, Wilson most recently joined Hiscox. At Hiscox, it operates a large primary and redundant portfolio spanning global areas such as real estate, mining, power generation and downstream energy. Wilson previously served as a senior technical insurer, director of real estate at CNA Hardy and attended school where he managed a global portfolio that includes core and excess businesses as Lloyd’s key markets.
