New Delhi: Tech giant Apple has announced that its new spatial audio feature will arrive in India shortly after consumers announced that the feature will not be permanently available.
On Twitter, Apple Music users in India wondered why Spatial Audio was down and when it could be released, especially as the feature came and went for some users. Apple is reportedly investigating the possibility of network broadcasting to improve responses based on Siri’s location.
As reported by MacRumors, Dolby Atmos hasn’t officially launched with Spatial Audio in India yet, but Apple hasn’t forgotten the country and has confirmed that Spatial Audio is coming soon.
Even the Apple Music page on Apple’s official site in India says these features will be coming soon in the country. The Apple Music website in India is called “Coming Soon” for Dolby Atmos and Lossless Audio. A specific start date is not yet available, but as some users see the options appear and disappear, Apple Music subscribers in India likely won’t have much time to wait, the report says.
Apple Music Lossless and Dolby Atmos with Spatial Audio were first announced in May. After some controversy over whether the HomePod offers lossless support or whether the AirPods Max supports high-quality sound when connected, Apple answered the question by saying that both HomePod Smart speakers will be supported without loss in a future update.
